For sustainability leads
Atollux replaces the printed welcome pack, the laminated map, the daily activity sheet and the glossy spa menu with a single QR code in every villa. The result is fewer printed materials, less freight, less waste — and a clean set of numbers your ESG report can quote.

From print, transport and disposal
Indicative figures for a 4–5★ island resort with ~150 keys and an average 5-night stay. Larger resorts and longer stays scale roughly linearly. Methodology summarised below.
Four pillars
Materials
A single QR code in every villa removes the need for printed maps, daily activity sheets, dining cards, spa menus, jetty schedules and welcome packs. Brand refreshes no longer require a print run.
Energy
No new server farm, no resort-specific cloud database, no always-on infrastructure. The app is delivered through standard mobile OS update channels and runs entirely on the guest’s phone.
Transport
Seasonal menu changes, new excursions and brand refreshes are pushed as app updates — replacing reprints and the international shipments that bring them to the island.
End of stay
The app deletes cleanly when guests reach home — no glossy folder for the airport bin, no laminated card for landfill, no leftover packaging on the seaplane back to Malé.
Methodology
No greenwash. The savings model is built on third-party emissions factors and public paper-industry data, with conservative defaults. The methodology footnote, sources and per-resort recalculation tool are available for your sustainability auditor.
